Senior Memoir Books

As the school year comes to a close and we are nearing graduation, we've been assigned a senior memoir book for English, consisting of a variety of things that we can choose to include in our books. As I assemble my book and complete the various writing tasks, such as a letter to my favorite staff member and a letter to a location on campus as well as a letter to my future child, I find that I'm almost sad (yeah, can you believe it?) that senior year is almost over. It hasn't been an easy year in the least--I'm not sure where this lie comes from that senior year is a breeze and smooth sailing the whole year through. Senior year was quite possibly the most difficult year that I've experience thus far in terms of balancing academics, extracurriculars, college apps (thank GOD those are over) and a (somewhat) social life. However, the senior memoir books are allowing me to realize that despite the fact that this year has been difficult, it has not been completed in vain. Senior year was so much fun--and I'm actually going to miss a lot about this school. I'm excited to complete my senior memoir book--it's going to be the finishing touch on a work in progress.

  2. Dude, i couldn't agree with you more Geena! senior year has by far been the hardest year for me as well. My expectations were much different than how everything actually turned out. I thought all of my classes would be a cinch to pass and I would never have homework. Boy, was I wrong. Balancing school with sports and homework has definately helped me work on my time management skills. And i can actually say, i'm a little sad that the year is over too. While i was working on my book, i realized this is probably the last artsy project i will every do. It's so bittersweet, don't ya think?

  3. This year has definitely been the most stressful year for me; almost drove me insane with all the worrying about the future and balancing social life and academics. But I'm confident that most people would agree with me in saying that along with all these stressful things came the funnest and most memorable year I've had in Osos. I'm glad none of us slacked off (too much) and we can enjoy the last days without having to pay too much attention to homework and such.
